GATES Construction, in a joint venture with The Haskell Company (GATES-Haskell), has completed the construction of the new LeeSar Regional Service Center located on a 16.55 acre campus in Ft. Myers, Fla. LeeSar’s new 205,000-square-foot facility features over 80,000-square-feet of climate-controlled distribution area, a 40,780-square-foot sterile processing center and a 38,750-square-foot cook ‘n chill area for food preparation.
The new facility, designed by SchnekelShultz and CSO Architects, serves as the base of its operations allowing it to expand and continue to provide services, including the acquisition and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceutical repackaging, contract negotiations, instrument repair, courier service, centralized sterile processing for surgical instruments, food management and preparation for local hospitals. Prior to construction of this new facility, LeeSar operated from multiple locations as it expanded over the years.
