Todd Gates, President and CEO of Gates McVey, announces the formation of a new division – “Gates McVey Butz Institutional Construction.” The new entity will bring together resources from Gates McVey Builders, Inc. of Naples, Florida and Butz Enterprises, Inc. of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Lee A. Butz, CEO and Greg L. Butz, President oversee Butz Enterprises which has been in businesses for over 84 years.
Gates McVey is celebrating its 10-year anniversary as a very successful, highly respected and fully integrated Construction, Development and Real Estate Company here in Southwest Florida. Having recently been named as Builder of the Year, as well as successfully completing a large local University project, the decision was made to continue with the institutional work and help support the ever-increasing School and Public Work projects.
Alvin H. Butz, Inc., the main construction division of Butz Enterprises, has a current contract volume of approximately $750 million, primarily in the institutional area. This work includes most of the major university, hospital and school projects in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. Personnel from both firms will be utilized on individual projects according to specific requirements. Fred Klopp has been named Director of Institutional Projects and will be responsible for both project development and project management.
