NAPLES, FL – September 27, 2004 – The North Naples Research & Technology Park, located at the site of the old Naples Golf Range at 16979 Old US 41, will soon be transformed into Collier County’s premier, high-tech research office park.
Gates McVey, who was chosen to oversee the construction and development of the property, will join the Economic Development Council of Collier County to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, September 30, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Information on sales and leasing opportunities of the 12 build-to-suit lots will be available at the ceremony.
An outgrowth of a new County zoning designation approved in 2002, the North Naples Research & Technology Park is a mixed-use site that provides for industrial, commercial, research and technology, and workforce housing components, with the majority of the site being dedicated to research and technology. Having specialized infrastructure in place will enable the Economic Development Council to develop a technology-based cluster at a single location – the first in Collier County – and attract such high-tech industries as biomedical and medical device manufacturing. March Performance will be the first tenant of the new site. Specializing in automotive performance enhancements, March Performance selected the North Naples Research & Technology Park for the relocation of their company headquarters from Michigan.
Gates McVey and the EDC would like to thank our co-sponsors of the groundbreaking ceremony:
